A very tasty (and seasonal) way to get your herbs is through the pleasure of medicinal cocoas. This "cocoa" is made using raw cacao, which is the unprocseed version of cocoa powder. Full of beneficial vitamins and minerals (such as magnesium), cacao is a superfood as well as a mood-boosting herbal with a slight amount of caffeine. This herbal cocoa blend pairs cacao with chaga, a medicinal mushroom that has historically been used to help support the immune system, as well as peppermint for a fresh-tasting cocoa, reminiscent of the vibrancy and crispness of the winter months.

This cocoa can be blended with water, milk, or plant-based nut milk and can be sweetened with natural sugars such as honey, maple syrup, or agave for a decadent yet nourishing herbal drink mix in the form of cocoa.

Ingredients: Cacao, Chaga, Peppermint Powder, Cocoa (for added flavor)

How To Brew: Mix 1 TBL of powder with 1 cup milk (or milk alternative) in a small saucepan, whisking to combine. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup as desired and enjoy as a seasonal warm evening drink. For an added treat, I like to top this drink off with fresh whipped cream and a dusting of chocolate.

We pride ourselves in using the best-quality herbs we can for our blends; all herbs are organic if possible, and sourced from small local farms or trusted herbal suppliers with integrity and ethics. This blend features mindfully grown mushroom powder from a farm in the PNW.
