East Bay Herbals Online Community

- Herb of the Month Club -

Herb of The Month Club
An herbalist-led community of folks wanting to learn about herbs online - this unique offering will be tackling herbs the traditional way - one at a time. Every month the Herb of the Month Club will take a deep dive into a different herb learning it's traditional uses and properties for use in the home apothecary and garden. Whether you're a beginner to hebalism looking to learn more about plants, or a budding herbalist with a growing knowledge - herb of the month club allows you to take a closer look at the plants that surround you and how you can begin using them. Each month ends with a live Q&A session where you can ask me, the herbalist, all your burning questions about the month's content, a major bonus in the online education world.

The Online Community Experience
This online community is ongoing, month to month, and subscription based, so members can join or leave at anytime!
In addition to the herbal deep dives, members will also be able to connect with each-other, ask questions, and have first-access to East Bay Herbals events and classes.  This community is hosted on Circle, offering a top tier online member experience.
Many years ago each home had an herbalist, someone who know about the plants around them and how to use them, and this club helps bring that ancient knowledge, direct to your hands, in a modern lens.

What Does Your Membership Include?

Each month we will be taking a deep dive into a new herb, getting a holistic picture of the plant, how it's used traditionally, how I use it, and how we can work with it in our home and garden.  Learning herbs in this style is one of the oldest  (and most traditional ways)  to work with plants, and is a big part of how I studied plants when I was first learning herb. Our topics and herbs will move with the seasons, giving seasonally and ecologically relevant info, each month. Every month students will get weekly lessons like these:

Herb of the Month Topic
Herbal Deep Dive
Monthly Lesson/Tutorial
Live Q&A Session

Member-Only Herbal Community
Seasonal Bonus Recipes, Articles, Videos, Medicine Making, and More!

Community Chat Boards + Connecting With Other Members
The Herb of the Month Club has live community chat boards where you can connect with other members, getting as interactive  (or not)  as you wish. A choose-your-own-adventure type of community, the world is your oyster when it comes to how engaged you'd like to be. Prefer to keep to yourself? You'll get all you signed up for (and more) without interacting if that's more your speed.

Bonus Content, Recipes, Articles, Videos, Medicine Making Tutorials, and More!
This club will also have a suite of other perks, including videos, articles, recipes, downloadable goodies, and more! Content will be refreshed each month to focus on the herb(s) we're learning and stay active for an additional month giving members plenty of time to access info. As the club grows, members will also have access to member-only recipes and articles in the growing Herb of the Month Club resource archive.

Meet Your Herb of The Month Club Herbalist - Anna Marie Beauchemin RH(AHG)

Meet Your Herbalist!

Hi Everyone! My name is Anna Marie Beauchemin, RH(AHG) and I am the professional registered herbalist, holistic nutritionist, and long-time educator, behind Herb of the Month Club. In addition to running this online community I see clients one-on-one for health consultations in my practice in Benicia, CA and teach a 9-Month long in-person herbal apprenticeship program, The Herbal Path, in Pleasant Hill, CA

As a former field research conservation biologist, I bring a unique and intricate understanding of the natural world to my work as an herbalist, and to the study of herbs. As a lifelong student (as most herbalists are)  I continue to study with herbal mentors and learn new modalities to further develop my craft and gain new skills  to share with my students, both in-person and online. In addition to studying herbalism, I have completed over 1000 hours of education in the field of Holistic Nutrition, earning multiple certificates of study.

Why Study Directly With an Herbalist When Learning Online?

The art of herbalism has traditionally been passed on from teacher to student. The ability to connect and ask questions, and know the lineage from which your herbal knowledge came, has long been an integral piece of herbalism. With this tradition in mind, and honoring the process of learning herbs directly from a working herbalist - the East Bay Herbals online community has been born.

With over 15 years of teaching experience under my belt, as well as years of online (and in-person)  study, I feel like I've really come to understand how that learning is an interactive process, and how truly valuable having access to your teacher is. Learning is an interactive process, and having someone to reflect with when you're confused is priceless. I'm excited to bring these life lessons and the tradition of direct-study in herbalism to my online community, and to all of of your.
